Geraldton AGCO Dealer Agwest Machinery invited local farmers and contractors preparing for the coming harvest to a presentation day at the local Spalding Park Golf Club.
AGCO Harvest products including the MF9565 Combine fitted with the new MF9255 Draper front were part of the display and attendees were given an indepth walk around by AGCO Product Manager - Harvest, Shane Jardine, while the AGCO National Sales Manager - Ausralia, Stephen Nankerville was also available for questions.
While the combine discussions were serious, guests also enjoyed food and refreshments and rounded off the day with a test of skill in a longest drive competition, having a swing on a state of the art 180 degree golf simulator.
“This event has been a great opportunity to speak with WA farmers about what they are looking for in a combine,” says Shane Jardine.
“There have been good growing conditions in the region and there is potential for an above average season so it is great to speak with farmers who have a genuine interest in looking for efficiencies and new innovations in their harvesting and their machines.”
Also on display at the Agwest event, was the New Massey Ferguson Dynaflex 9255 which is now a completely Hesston designed and built front.
The new front’s larger diameter reel assembly and overall improved durability means more uptime for operators, when it counts. New long dividers improve separation of the crop and and reduce wrapping around the reel and improved skid design means a low cut while keeping drapers at a safe height away from the ground.
“The MF 9565 and Dynaflex 9255 continue Massey Ferguson’s commitment to designing harvest products that focus on simplicity, increased capacity and maximising efficiency. The AGCO Agwest Machinery dealership also provides exceptional service to the local industry, both in Geraldton and their impressive new facility in Corrigin,” says Shane.
